In Florida, a Class G Statewide Firearm License is a required certification for security officers and private investigators who wish to carry a firearm while on duty. It’s a companion license, meaning you need another license such as a Class D (unarmed security), Class C (private investigator), or Class CC (private investigator intern) to be eligible. This course requires 20 hours of classroom and 8 hours range training covering topics such as firearms safety, firearms maintenance and qualifying.
*Courses are required by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. State fees apply when applying for licensing. All payments are final. No refunds. Paid amount can be used to schedule another course. No call or no show will result in paid amount forfeited.
